Ancestry visas
Individuals with an ancestral connection to the UK may be eligible to apply for a UK Ancestry visa, which will allow them to seek and take up employment freely in the UK. The key requirements for this visa category are that the individual is a citizen of the Commonwealth and has a grandparent who was born in the UK, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man, or in some cases, the Republic of Ireland. Applicants must also demonstrate that they are at least 17 years old, are able to (and intend to) work in the UK, and can support themselves (and any dependants) without recourse to public funds. Successful applicants will be given leave to enter the UK for a period of five (5) years.
Our UK Ancestry visa application service includes offering a reliable assessment of the case under the relevant criteria with the aim of identifying any potential issues affecting the case, advising on and checking supporting documents required for the application, and providing the Client with clear instructions for the submission of the application to the Applicant’s local Visa Application Centre.
