Same Day Applications

The UK Border Agency offers a Premium (Same Day) application service for several categories of employment-related applications, including the following:

Premium (Same Day) appointments should be used for applications that are deemed to be straightforward, and are unlikely to require prolonged investigation by the UK Border Agency caseworker assessing the case. Providing the application is straightforward, the same day process can allow individuals to avoid normal lengthy processing times. This can be extremely valuable where individuals have urgent or unavoidable travel plans.

In order for an individual to submit an application “directly” using the Premium Service, an appointment must be set with the UK Border Agency. However, securing an appointment can be very difficult and time consuming due to a shortage of appointment slots. Individuals may repeatedly fail to secure appointments, and where they succeed, their appointment is likely to be in several weeks time.

As well as ensuring that applications are thoroughly prepared and presented, UK Work Permits Ltd can also obtain same-day appointments with the UK Border Agency at short notice.

Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) and Further Leave to Remain (FLR)

UK Work Permits Ltd is normally (subject to availability) able to offer an appointment for a Further Leave to Remain and Indefinite Leave to Remain applications within a very short period time (within seven days).

Our Premium (Same Day) ILR and FLR application service includes assessing the application with the aim of identifying any potential issues affecting the application, advising on and checking supporting documents required for the application, and arranging an appointment with the Home Office. One of our representatives will then also attend the appointment to submit the application on the client’s behalf. Most applications submitted by the Premium (Same Day) service are decided within one working day, and we will be able to advise the applicant of the outcome of the decision within 24 hours of the appointment. The supporting documents can then be returned to the applicant (or collected) on the next working day following the appointment.

Our standard consultancy fee for a Premium (Same Day) Indefinite Leave to Remain application is £600+VAT.

Please note that if a same day application needs to be submitted using the FLR (M) form (for spouses and unmarried partners), this must be arranged and attended directly by the individual. For these applications, the individual will need to have their biometric data recorded.

Points Based System (PBS) Same Day applications

The UK Border Agency also has a limited quota of same day appointments for applications submitted under the PBS criteria (Tiers 1 and 2). The number of appointments available for PBS applications is much more limited, and obtaining an appointment for a PBS application is therefore difficult. We may also be able to obtain same day appointments for these applications, but this is very much dependent on availability, and it may be more difficult. As things stand at the time of writing (early June ‘09) in many cases it may be quicker for applicants to submit their application  by post, rather than wait for a same day appointment to be allocated.
