Business and Commercial – Tier 1
There are certain circumstances where a potential work permit application is allowed to qualify for a more efficient “fast-track” procedure. These “Tier 1” applications are more straightforward than standard (Tier 2) business and commercial applications. In these cases, providing a suitable case can be put forward, the position in question need not be advertised by the employer. This means that applications can be submitted immediately, with no need to wait out the normal 28 day advertising period.
