Inward Investment

This category is for key posts that are an essential part of an inward investment project. The project must include a plan to bring significant numbers of jobs and funds into the UK. Only an existing overseas business can qualify, and become the sponsoring company.

An individual cannot simply qualify under this category by demonstrating the necessary funds alone. The normal minimum investment is £250,000. A detailed case needs to be submitted, showing a business (including recruitment) plan.

In addition to demonstrating that the situation is a genuine case of inward investment, the necessity of recruiting the individual candidate still needs to be demonstrated in an application.

An application of this type can normally be prepared within a few days (providing all relevant information and documentation can be supplied) and approved by The Border and Immigration Agencywithin 5-10 working days.
